Approximately 4 miles from Mathis, it is very convenient to IH37 and only 45 minute drive to Corpus Christi.
In addition to the Alpacas, we raise chickens for eggs, and turkeys.
We are also home to honey bees. As of 2009/2010 we have 3 hives
and are looking forward to our first havest in the Spring of 2010.
In 2008 we planted a small experimental Lavender Field just behind The
Hide Out, our Bed & Breakfast. It survived the worst drought in
history followed by heavy rains in the fall. We are optimistic that
our area can support a lavender farm. In January of 2010 planted an
additional 250 plants.
